Our flattened hens are pre-marinated and ready to cook! Follow these simple instructions for perfectly juicy, flavorful chicken every time.
Oven Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C)
- Place chicken skin side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet
- Bake until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C)
- Cooking time: approximately 30-40 minutes depending on the size of your chicken
Pro Tip: For extra crispy skin, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
BBQ/Grill Method
- Preheat your BBQ to 400°F (200°C)
- Place chicken directly on the grill, skin side down
- Grill for approximately 10 minutes
- Flip chicken skin side up and continue cooking until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C)
- Total cooking time: approximately 30-40 minutes depending on the size of your chicken
Pro Tip: Use indirect heat if your chicken is browning too quickly. Move it to a cooler part of the grill and close the lid.
Important Food Safety Tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure your chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part.
- Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes after cooking before slicing
- Cooking times may vary based on your oven or grill and the size of your chicken
- Never partially cook chicken and finish later
